What are the rules of lacrosse?
     Heck, we don't know!  Just kidding, but seriously, DO NOT expect to understand the game immediately. Neither should your player. There are many rules that are similar to soccer or hockey, so if you are familiar with those games, lacrosse won't look completely foreign. But it can take a while to understand what's going on. 

     There are some good videos out there that can give you an overview of girls lacrosse and the basic rules:

You can also explore the US Lacrosse website for more information. We also encourage you and your player to look for lacrosse games on ESPN2, the Big 10 Network, and ESPNU. Many of the best collegiate teams are on TV relatively frequently throughout the spring.
